The Folger Shakespeare Library The Folger holds the world's richest collection of Shakespeareana, including 79 First Folios. Its Old Reading Room is one of the most beautiful and genteel settings imaginable in which to work. I like sitting where I can see the stained glass window illustrating Shakespeare's Seven Ages of Man, from As You Like It. Every afternoon, readers break for tea and informal conversation in the Tea Room. The Reading Rooms are open to registered scholars and researchers only, but the Exhibition Hall, Gift Shop, and Theatre are open to the public. |
